Overview
AltaScena America lets you access, view, save and archive aerial photographs and topographical maps from the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
Although there are web interfaces which allow you to view these images online, AltaScena has the following features:
- Built in database to easily find the location you are looking for
- Images are automatically cached to allow for rapid repeat viewing during the viewing session
- You can save any displayed aerial photograph or topographical map as an image
- You can create archives of the images on your hard drive for fast, offline access
- You can bookmark your favorite images, for quick recall

Aerial Photographs
From 128 meter resolution, showing over 2,277 square miles, down to 1 meter resolution, allowing you to discern objects as small as 40 inches in size.
Topographic Maps
Ranging from 2 meter resolution to 128 meter resolution.
AltaScena comes with an embedded Valentina database to allow you to quickly find the location you want. The database contains almost 120,000 cities, towns and villages in the United States. You can also search by ZIP code.



You can easily save the aerial photo or topo map on the screen in several different formats.
You can capture the map type (aerial photograph or topographical map) you want from the Internet, and save it to your hard drive. This allows for rapid access in the future, even with no Internet connection.
Although AltaScena comes with many bookmarks of famous sites around the country, you can also easily add your own bookmarks.
